For months, football fans tuned in to NFL games in hopes of seeing their team make it to the Super Bowl. Besides watching the top teams duke it out on the field, students anticipated who will perform at the halftime show.

After Internet rumors and months of waiting, the NFL announced all the performers that will be taking the stage. The Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots will take the field this year for Super Bowl LIII.

Headlining the halftime show will be pop band Maroon 5. Joining the show will be American rapper, Atlanta Big Boi and American rapper, Travis Scott.

“I’m very excited to be watching Maroon 5 perform, I have been a fan since the song ‘She Will Be Loved.’” said senior Alex Milian. “I’ll be watching even if my team, the Broncos, won’t be playing.”

“Even though my team, the Dallas Cowboys won’t be playing, I’m still going to tune in to watch the halftime show, I’m super excited to be watching Travis Scott.”

With Travis Scott releasing his ASTROWORLD album in summer 2018, many students are hoping he performs his popular songs. Valenzuela, who also played on the Aztec football team this year, plans to throw a party with his teammates, to watch the big game.
