Choir celebrates winter season with concert

The choir performed classic Christmas songs like “We Wish You a Marry Christmas” and “Jingle Bells” at the winter concert on Dec. 13 in front of an audience that was happy to be in the holiday spirit.
El Dorado assistant principal Lisa Noe attended and spoke about the little girl who sang along in the audience.
“They had a good mix of songs – even the little girl behind me was singing the songs. This proves that many people were enjoying the music,” Noe said.
The JV choir ensemble and the varsity team were given the opportunity to perform together. They had three months to prepare. This was intimidating to some of the JV members.
Despite only having two days to perform with the varsity choir, the JV team sang “Steal Away,” “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel,” “Deck the Halls” and “Hark the Herald Angels Sing.”
“It was really tough at times because we were preforming these songs with the Varsity choir and we don’t have class with them, but I was really confident,” said senior JV singer Mayeli Torres.
