Sun rises over SAC, seniors in cars
Senior Sunrise is a time-honored tradition and the COVID-19 pandemic wasn’t going to stop this right of passage from taking place. The student council planned a drive-in sunrise event for the class of 2021 on Saturday morning, Aug. 29 at the SAC. Door prizes encouraged students to attend, but strict social-distancing rules seemed to keep attendance down. Some students complained of not having parent rides on a Saturday morning as students were not allowed to car pool.
Still, seniors pulled up their cars and stared across the horizon to the sun, stretching out their arms to capture the sight forever on their phones and in their minds.
