Varsity softball celebrates senior night recognition

As the 2025 season and school year comes to its decent, it’s time to celebrate all the hard work and dedication each senior has put in their respective hobbies before they leave the Temple. Varsity Softball recognized each senior, with each underclassmen players gifting seniors gift baskets and their final good-bye’s as they play for one last time.

The heart of the team. Coming down the softball field, senior Joslyn Torres cries happy tears looking at her team on April 17 at the War Ground. The Aztecs stole the win with a close game of 10-9 against the Del Valle Conquistadors. “As the season is coming to an end I am mixed with emotions knowing this is my last year playing with the group of girls I’ve been with since my freshman year. Growing together throughout the years and seasons played together made me realize they’re my sisters who have seen me through my ups and downs,” Torres said.

A Season To Remember
Game Changer. Moving with a purpose, junior Andrew Estrada walks to the sideline with the “turn over chain” around his neck on Sept. 20 at Eastwood High School. The chain was put around Estrada’s neck because of his defensive turnover against the Troopers. “I got an interception late in the game to sway the momentum in my team's favor when we needed it most,” Estrada said. “It was a surreal experience to be able to contribute to a big win for the Empire.”
