‘Venom’ is a must-see for Marvel fans

The new film “Venom,” under the direction of Ruben Fleischer, was released Oct. 5. It stars actor Tom Hardy, best known in his roles in “The Dark Knight Rises” and Mad Max: Fury Road.

Hardy takes the lead role as journalist Edward Brock, soon turning into the infamous Marvel Comic villain, Venom.

The movie starts with the crash of a spacecraft. Brock gets on the case and tries to interview Carlton Drake, the notorious and brilliant founder of the Life Foundation. While investigating one of Drake’s experiments, Brock’s body merges with the alien, Venom, leaving him with superhuman strength and power.

Twisted, dark and fueled by rage, Venom tries to control the new and dangerous abilities that Brock finds so intoxicating.

Characteristics of Venom were based on the comic book “The Amazing Spider-Man #252, The Alien Costume.” Though Venom is an evil villain, the movie brought some humor to his heinous acts.

As the movie came to an end, scenes turned more intense. Venom and Brock came together to protect the city from any evil that enters. The movie leaves fans fishing for clues to figure out if there will be a possible sequel.

Venom is definitely a must see movie for marvel fans or even if you are not a fan. This movie combines comedy, thrill and science-fiction make it enjoyable for all.
