Get Pampered Here At School

Are you looking for somewhere to have your hair or nails done, but can’t spend a lot of

money? Why not get one of your classmates to do it for you? Our very own El Dorado

cosmetology students offer services just like a regular salon.

“We offer any salon service that’s available that we learn at school,” said cosmetology

director Michelle Saucedo.

Saucedo invites everyone to come and check out the program.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, you can stop by the class after school to get pampered in

Aztec style. They offer everything from acrylic nails, to eyebrow waxing, facials and even

haircuts. Haircuts range from $5 for boys and $8 for girls.

The seniors run Tuesday salon and juniors run the Thursday salon, where services are

actually free.

“It’s really exciting because, you’re changing someone’s appearance,” said well-known

cosmetology senior, Kattana Walker.

The cosmetology program here at El Dorado has been going strong for 13 years and as

it progresses, so do its students.

“Everyone that stays after school enhances their skills,” Saucedo said
