Fall DIY: Book Page Banners
By Kiana Cruz
The season of chilly weather and colorful leaves is finally here and you know what that means, cute home decorations! Get in the spirit this fall by creating one of my favorite decorations, fall banners with book page leaves. This is something very simple, yet very cute to try. Let me walk you through these few simple steps.
- 1. First, get your book pages from your least favorite book (maybe history or biology?! JUST KIDDING)
- 2. You’re going to need to cut those pages in the shape of a leaf, make sure it’s smaller than the actual leaves you pick out. Get your leaves from any arts and crafts store or even outside from any tree, which is in my opinion. It makes it much cuter.
- 3. You will glue the book page leaves to the actual leaf but remember not to use all the leaves. You only need a couple to create a pattern.
- 4. Next, roll out a long piece of twine to the length of your choice. Tie it around the heads of the clothespins by wrapping it around.
- 5. And last but not least you will place the leaves in the clothespins.
Now, for the best part, give the inside of your house that extra seasonal touch by placing your unique banners in cute spots like the living room, bedroom, fireplace or even the dog’s house. Or just simply gift them to a family member or friend. I’m sure they will love it! Now go out and have fun making your own.
